    Hylwa is proud to announce the successful completion of their fourth project, in two years, for Yale University. The total gut/renovation of the 100-year-old, three-story, brick building at 101 Lake Place, in New Haven, CT, is now open for new student housing.

    Hylwa has been selected by Abe Kaoud, managing member of Washington West, LLC, to be the Construction Manager for their new 40,000 sq. ft. retail center at  808 Washington Street, Middletown, CT.  O'Reilly Parts Auto Parts, and  Chipotle Mexican Grill are some of the tenants that will be coming to the center.

    Hylwa is now certified to conduct Renovation, Repair and Painting, pursuant to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations, valid in all EPA administered States, Tribues and Territories. 

  • Hylwa awarded third Design-Build project for growing Fairfield County-based metal parts manufacturer

    Hylwa has been retained to provide design-build services for improvements to the infrastructure of one of the Northeast’s leading steel manufacturers in support of the company increasing its workload and securing larger sized projects. Work includes expanding the client’s existing Shelton, CT facility with an additional 30,000 SF of manufacturing, 10,000 SF of exterior canopies, storage and staging areas and 3,000 SF of new office space. Plans include multiple bridge cranes with extensions from the existing facility to accommodate the simultaneous operation of all cranes. It will be important to ensure that there is no interference with on-going operations during construction.

The Landmark is a 42,000 s/f mixed use development located at 11 South Main St. The 9,000 s/f street level retail is occupied by Charles Schwab & Company, Inc. The upper three floors are home to 21 luxury,  one and two bedroom apartments featuring hardwood floors, solid cherry kitchen cabinets, quartz countertops and oversized windows.
